This summer the Texas State Autism Summer Camp took an end of camp field trip to The DoSeum in San Antonio, Texas for the first time. The campers and counselors left at 9:15am Thursday morning to San Antonio and returned to Lamar Campus at 1:30pm. The DoSeum is an interactive museum which helps children learn, discover and spark interest in areas including arts, literacy, and STEM. The campers enjoyed interacting with the various exhibits the DoSeum had to offer and were full of smiles and laughter by the end of the day. The 1:1 ratio allowed the campers to explore and interact with the exhibit. Parents were more than welcomed to join their children on this field trip as well as bring along siblings.
