I have a strong passion for teaching and learning, which is supported through the mission of Texas State University! Currently, my research interests include working with pre- service educators in the areas of physical education, motor development and motor learning. Of particular interest, I have been working on developing programs for underserved populations that will increase cultural competence and serve as service learning for my students. Additionally, I am interested in research about how adults learn and teaching strategies that best fit the higher education population. I currently teach Motor Development (ESS 2320), Motor Learning (ESS 3329), Applied Assessment for Physical Education (ESS 3325).
