Nutritional Consultations

One-on-one nutrition consultations are designed to provide tailored feedback in order to address each person’s individual nutrition needs and goals. Prior to your appointment, a 24-hour dietary recall will be administered to you for completion to be utilized during your visit. During your consultation, your current diet will be assessed based off your 24-hour recall and tailored recommendations will be provided in the form of recipes, tip sheets, and simple protocols. Nutrition consultations are generally an hour in length and must be scheduled in advance. Contact us for more information or to schedule a consultation.

Cooking Classes

The purpose of having cooking classes is to provide opportunities for WellCats members to develop new cooking skills, learn healthier ways to prepare familiar dishes, become exposed to new and seasonal foods, and to have fun! Cooking classes are always centered around a theme (e.g. Multicultural Foods, Incorporating More Spices, Having Fun with Fruits) and generally last about an hour. When you walk in the door, printed recipes of the dishes to be prepared in class will be available, the items needed for each recipe will be ready to go, and fun music will be playing. There are 8 kitchens in the cooking lab, and the class will use as many kitchens as needed. Pick a station and work with a friend or meet someone new! Usually each station will have 2-3 people working in the kitchen on a recipe. You are free to participate in whatever extent you are comfortable – from mostly observing to doing most of the work! Come create in the kitchen with us - remember, we will do the dishes!
